![]() Chris GreenwoodOperations Director Chris Greenwood is Operations Director at New Energy Finance (NEF). He joined the company in 2005. NEF's global team tracks and analyses global investment activity in all of the clean energy sectors, and provides information and other services to investors in clean energy, low carbon technologies and carbon markets. NEF's Service Sectors include wind, solar, biofuels, biomass, China, venture capital/private equity, public markets, and carbon markets. During 2006, approximately $70 billion of clean energy investment activity was tracked and analysed by NEF. Chris's responsibilities include managing NEF's research and analysis activities. This involves understanding the value chains of each clean energy sector, mapping organisations and investors, and analysing investment activity. Factors affecting each sector, such as technology development and government policies, are also examined, and forecasts of future investment activity are derived through fundamental analysis. Chris ensures that clients' needs are met through NEF's publications and analysis services. Chris has 15 years of analysis, consulting and management experience from a number of roles within European energy companies, consultancy and IT services organisations. He joined National Grid Transco at Vesting, and undertook a number of operational and development roles as the UK electricity market evolved during the early 1990s. Chris then worked for Cap Gemini for 5 years, where he led the energy and utilities consulting team. He has also worked for software and information services companies within the energy sector. Chris holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London. Back to Catapult Speakers page |
